ENTREPRENEURSHIP OPPORTUNITY
FOR NEW MIGRANT WOMEN IN TAMIL COMMUNITY
Adelaide Tamil Association’s Women’s wing is proud to present another great project to inspire and develop the business spirit in our Tamil community women. We were able to secure a grant from the Department of Human services, through which we will be running a free sewing course and also will be able to offer a free sewing machine to those women who are selected.
If you are interested, kindly fill the attached form and email it to sridevi.shk@gmail.com on or before 8 September 2023.
We have strict selection criteria as specified by the Department of Human services.

Starting a small business is an exciting opportunity but needs financial planning, market research, marketing strategies and so on.
On October 22, you can have hands-on experience to exhibit and sell your products to the public and at the same time experts and business consultants will guide you through those strategies to success.
Stalls are run by our Tamil community women and children selling traditional food, arts, crafts, clothes, jewellery and other products.
Save the date. Come support them and at the same time give them valuable feedback about their products. This will help them to improvise, gain confidence.
Together as a community we can do so much more.

BOWEL CANCER SCREENING PROGRAM FOR MEN

Adelaide Tamil Association Women’s Wing, is collaborating with WELLBEING SA to conduct a Seminar TO EDUCATE AND IMPLEMENT THE IMPORTANCE OF BOWEL CANCER SCREENING PROGRAM for all Men above the age of 45 from TAMIL COMMUNITY.

“TAMIL HERITAGE MONTH” STAMP RELEASE CEREMONY
Stamp release official proceedings will be conducted on 16/01/2022 at Victoria Square between 11am to 12 pm presided by Hon Minister Jing Lee MLC.
Due to present Covid situation, Stamp Release ceremony will be conducted with a small gathering (40 persons Maximum) and will be live telecasted by Vaagai Radio. Pongal Committee Encourages community to watch live through Vaagai. If the community members are interested to come in person, please contact Secretary at secretary@adelaidetamil.com.au or ATA Mob: 0473364186 in order to accommodate in a priority basis.
Stamp release portraying “Tamil Heritage Month” is a combined efforts of South Australia Tamil community are a great achievement for Tamils in Australia. Stamp has been approved by Australia Post after a long correspondence. Stamp is getting released all over Australia on the Pongal Day.
